INTERFACE CABLE ASSEMBLIES AND
CONNECTORS
LOW-VOLTAGE INTERFACE CABLES
The Series 90 low-voltage test systems use 64-pin, AMP-Latch ribbon cable connectors to
interface between the test points on the scanner boards and the assembly under test. The AMP
connectors are latch-and-eject, 0.100-inch, dual-row pin headers. The latch height for the
connector is .570 inches to allow a strain relief socket connector (7200481) to be used. The latch
will not work with a substitute socket connector of a different height. Cablescan provides the
following three 8-foot interface cable assemblies for interfacing the tester to the assembly under
test:
5210914-03 Cable Assembly
The 5210914-03 cable assembly has a 64-pin socket connector (7200481) on one end, and an
unterminated second end. This cable can be used by stripping back its unterminated end and
soldering it to the mating connectors for the assembly under test. It can also be used to terminate
a different type flat cable connector, which will then mate to a discrete version of the connector,
such as a D-type, that is mounted either on the interface fixture or an adapter cable. This is the
same cable assembly as 5210917-03 (shown in Figure 17), except without the second end
connector 7200446.
