INPUT/OUTPUT CONNECTORS
The input and output signals can be directed to the follow ports:
9 Pin D Connector Serial Ports on PC. COM1, COM2, ...
25 Pin D Connector Parallel Ports on PC. LPT1, LPT2, ...
15 Pin D Connector I/O Port on Cablescan ISA Serial I/O Board.
Selections of I/O port are made in the Tester Settings dialog box in TestRite. See Series 90
Software Manual for more information.
9 Pin D Connector Serial Port
TestRite can utilize up to two serial ports for I/O signals. These are referred to as primary and
secondary I/O ports.

A footswitch connection is provided on the I/O board for systems using a Cablescan System
Controller. This connection becomes active when device selected for the Primary I/O Port is the
same as the Communication Port.
All input signals are triggered when going from a positive to a negative state. For example, an
Abort can be initiated at any time during a test cycle by having the Abort line drop from the
Primary I/O Port
