Range Group

Range group contains options for specifying the range of test points the self-diagnostic tests will
be performed on.
Full Range
The Full Range check box is selected when all test points in the tester are to be tested. For
special test setup situations, the range can be limited by unchecking the Full Range box and
entering the Start, beginning test point, and the Stop, ending test point, of the range to be tested.
Start
Selects the first point in the range of test points to be tested when the Full Range box is
unchecked.
Stop
Selects the last point in the range of test points to be tested when the Full Range box is
unchecked.

Tester Group

Tester group contains selections for configuring and examining the tester.
Tester Status
Tester Status command opens a window to display the tester configuration; tester model, com
port number, number of test points, and whether the tester is active.
Download Firmware
Download Firmware command is used to download firmware to the Scanner Control Board
(SCB) from the PC to the EEPROM on the board. TestRite automatically checks the firmware in
the SCB during initialization, and if the firmware requires updating, a message box opens and
provides a button to download the new firmware. The Download Firmware function is used to
force the firmware to be downloaded
Interrupting the tester or PC during download can
corrupt the EEPROM. If corrupted, a new EEPROM
must be installed on the Scanner Control Board.
Contact the factory for a new EEPROM.
Set Voltage Type
Set Voltage Type is for high-voltage systems. Early Series 90HV had a maximum isolation test
voltage of 1000 vdc. This was later increased to 1500 vdc. This value should be set according
to the tester connected. After the tester has the latest firmware downloaded, this value will
automatically be set by the software.
