Dust Detected
Error Code: J050
Problem: Dust detected on the scanning glass could not be avoided.
Solution: Clean the scanning glass.
Dust Detected (appears alternately with
normal display)
Problem: Dust was detected and scanning proceeds.
Solution: When scanning finishes, clean the scanning glass.
Call for Service
Error Code: Exxx (excluding E021)
Problem: Internal scanner error.
Solution: Turn the power OFF, and restart the scanner. If this does
not solve the problem, make a note of the error code, and contact your
Canon service representative.

Skew Detected
Error Code: J018
Problem: A skewed document page contacted the wall of the
transport path.
Solution: Remove and reposition the document page.
Double Feed
Error Code: D002
Problem: A double feed was detected by the document length.
Solution: Remove the double fed document page(s) from the eject
outlet, return them to the Document Feed Tray, and scan again.
