Configuring the Operating Mode

The following sections describe the functions of the DIP switch settings.

You can configure the FP-1300 to operate in user mode (USER) or
factory-default (DEF) mode using the USER/DEF switch.
In user mode, the FP-1300 reads its baud rate and arbitration ID from the
configuration settings that were last saved in the FP-1300 software. To
configure the module for user mode, push the USER/DEF switch to the
USER position.

In factory-default mode, the FP-1300 baud rate is 500 Kbps and the
FP-1300 reads its base arbitration ID from the DIP switches on the module.

configure the FP-1300 to operate in factory-default mode, push the
USER/DEF switch to the DEF position.
