When you press and hold the "Background" (9.) button for 2 seconds or more the Preview Output displays a
Color Processor menu. Pressing the "Background" (9.) button again displays other options for Output, Remote
Control and Color Bar Output.
Menu – Output
If you change this setting then the Program or DV outputs of the HS-550 may stop working. Please ensure output
is set to Y/C, CV, CV and do not set it to YUV, CV.
Menu – Remote Control
The HS-550 currently has no external connections for MIDI or RS-232C control so this setting should not be
changed.
Menu – Color Bar Output
Useful when setting up a program monitor and calibrating the monitor for use with the HS-550. Switching ON this
color bar menu option forces the HS-550 to produce colour bars on all of the Program outputs including the DV
Ports. Remember to switch this menu option off before trying to mix live camera feeds.
Menu - Exit
When the menu options for Output, Remote Control and Color Bar Output are displayed pressing the
"Background" (9.) button again will exit the menu display and only the Quad Preview will be displayed.
