Intended purpose

Compression therapy involves measures to apply extensive,
external pressure to treat lymphatic drainage disorders. The
aim of extensive pressure is to prevent the formation of oede-
ma and to support lymphatic drainage. Compression therapy is
primarily used to treat oedema. As a general rule, compression
therapy is a long-term treatment requiring appropriate products
that are used by the patients themselves when medically
indicated and on the instructions of a doctor.
Notes for use
Your specialist retailer will gladly show you the correct way to
apply the product. Rough, unfiled finger nails or sharp-edged
rings etc. may damage the very fine knitted fabric. We therefore
recommend the use of
Juzo special gloves.
A) Thorax
1. Fully open the product closure.
2. Insert one of your arms into one sleeve, then the other arm
into the second sleeve.
3. Now position the product over your shoulders and adjust.
4. Do up the closure from the bottom to the top. If there are any
hooks, close them first.
5. If there are cups, you should initially close the product to just
above the chest. In order to ideally position each breast in
the relevant cup, insert the opposite hand and lift the breast
slightly. Then do up the closure completely.
6. If there is a body fastening, close it at the end. (no illustration)
B) Neck and chin support / face mask

2. a Face mask
b Neck and chin support
Pull the product over your head toward the back. Check the
correct position of possible cut-outs.
3. Now close the mask at the back of your head.
Please note
Only wear compression garments if they have been prescribed
by a doctor. Compression garments should only be dispensed
by properly trained staff at a medical retailer. Your Juzo com-
pression garments are largely resistant to oils, ointments, skin
moisture and other environmental influences. The durability of
the knitted fabric may be affected by certain combinations of
the above. This is why it is advisable to have your compression
garments checked regularly at a medical retailer. Please
contact your specialist retailer in the event of damage. Do not
repair the product yourself – this may affect its quality and
medical effectiveness. For hygiene reasons, this product is
intended for one person only.
Washing and care instructions
Please note the care instructions on the textile label sewn into
your compression garment or the printed information. Do up
any fasteners (if there are any) before washing! We recommend
turning compression garments inside out before washing.
Wash compression garments separately when washing for the
first time (they may lose colour). If possible, your compression
garments should be washed every day on a gentle or delicate
wash cycle (40°C). Tip: a laundry net provides additional
protection for the knitted fabric. Please do not use fabric
softener! When hand washing, rinse well and do not wring.
We recommend the gentle Juzo special detergent. You can
reduce drying time by placing the compression garment on a
thick towel after washing, tightly rolling the towel up and firmly
pressing out excess moisture. Then hang up the compression
garment loosely. Do not leave the product in the towel and do
not dry it on a radiator or in the sun. Please use the delicates
setting when drying in a tumble dryer (suitable for tumble-
drying: see textile label). Juzo compression garments are not
suitable for dry cleaning.

Storage information and shelf life
Store in a dry place and protect from sunlight. Custom-made
products are for immediate use. Body measurements may
change based on the patient's condition and individual
circumstances. Custom-made products are therefore designed
for a usage period of 6 months. After the 6-month usage
period, body measurements must be re-checked by a medical
specialist. In the event of significant changes in measurements
of the body part that is being treated (e.g. based on therapeutic
success, weight change), re-measurement and supply of a new
product may be required earlier, before the 6-month usage
period comes to an end.
Indications
Lymphatic oedema, lipoedema, post-traumatic oedema
Following burns and for scar treatment, we recommend using
our special scar therapy products.
