ED5000N Series Exit Devices For
9700 TCPIP1 & PWI1 Series Trim
1. Install Inside Mounting Plate
a. Feed reader cable through central opening of mounting plate (Fig. 8a).
b. Lockbody cable feeds from bottom (Fig. 8a, b).
c. Ensure ground lug is positioned as shown (Fig. 8a, b).
d. Insert other three #8-32 x 1-7/8" flat head machine screws and tighten, fastening the outside
escutcheon to the door (Fig. 8a).
Required for fire rated doors:
Install four (4) #8-32 machine screws and
two (2) #8 surface screws (Fig. 8a).
