Cause
An incorrect CO cuvette type is

selected.
Cuvette or sensor soiled.
Zero point of the CO
2
outside the tolerance range.
Inspiratory CO concentration

high.
The flow measuring lines are
connected incorrectly.
The set FiO concentration can-
2
not be achieved with the set flow.
The flow resulting from the set-
tings for tidal volume VT relative
to Ti or I:E is not achievable
(specified range 4 to 100 L/min).
The inspiratory and / or expira-
tory time resulting from the set-
tings for RR and I:E or Ti are not
possible.
The sensor or cuvette window is
soiled.
The sensor reports a filter check
failure.
The CO measurement is inaccu-

rate.
The CO sensor is defective.

The zero calibration or filter
check of the CO sensor was
2
activated and no valid measured
values were generated.
Remedy
Select correct cuvette type.
Clean cuvette or sensor, or
replace cuvette.
