Multifunctional Status indicator

The Status indicator on an IOP with model number that has a "Y" in the model number, such as MU-
PAOY22, has functionality beyond the description in Table 80 IOP Card Indicators. One of two colors is
normally displayed. A third color, red, is abnormal and would be an LED failure. Table 81 IOP
Multicolor Status Indicator defines the colors.

4.12 FTA Indicators

Introduction

FTA indicators provide functional status information. The number of indicators and their purpose varies
with the type of FTA.

The following table describes the function of the various indicators on the FTAs and associated
assemblies.

Table 81 IOP Multicolor Status Indicator

The IOP is assigned primary status.
The IOP is assigned backup status. Occurs in redundant IOP
configurations.

Table 82 FTA Indicators

The red LED indicates a grounded or shorted cable when lit. There is one
indicator for each cable.
Indicates that power is present on the FTA.
Indicates that power is present. Extinguishes for approximately 15 seconds during
a calibration cycle.
Lit when IOP A is active and not lit when IOP B is active or either IOP is not
active. Cable A and IOP A can be replaced when the LED is not lit, and Cable B
and IOP B can be replaced when the LED is lit.
When lit, the A IOP is the primary or available to be the primary. When not lit, the
A IOP is not available to be the primary.
Indicates that power is present on the FTA.
One of the following indicator conditions exists.
Not lit: The FTA self-test failed.
Slow blink:
A communication error between the FTA and
(Symmetrical 1 sec. blink) the IOP/HPMM was detected.
Fast blink:
A communication error between the device (Symmetrical .5
sec. blink) and the FTA was detected.
Constantly lit:
The FTA self-test was successful and the FTA is fully
operational.
