Testing the TAPI Function
1. In the Start menu, select "Pro-
grams>Accessories>Communi-
cation" and then start the pro-
gram "Phone Dialer."
2. In the "Tools" menu, select the
item "Connect using..." in order
to select the system telephone
that is to use the CTI application.
Under Windows 2000 you select
the item "Options" from the
"Edit" menu. In the "Lines" tab
you then select the system tele-
phone from the "Phone calls"
list.
3. Enter the telephone number in
the "Number" input box and
confirm with "Dial." Under Win-
dows 2000 you first click on the
"Dial" symbol and in the subse-
quent dialogue activate "Phone
call."
4. The number you entered is dis-
played on the selected system
telephone. Raise the handset to
start the dialling.
Note: If the "Phone Dialer" pro-
gram has not been installed, you will
have to install it. To do this, you open
the control panel and click on "Soft-
ware." In the "Windows Setup" tab
you activate the "Connections" com-
ponent.
