Before beginning the initial configu-
ration, install the necessary hard-
ware and the driver software on the
PC. Follow the hardware installation
instructions supplied with the hard-
ware. In many cases, the TCP/IP sys-
tem software is installed together
with the driver software for the
hardware. When you have installed
the driver software, proceed as
follows:
1. Open Network Settings in the
Control Panel of your PC. In or-
der to do this, you select the
item "Settings > Control Panel"
from the Start menu and dou-
ble-click on the "Network" icon
(under Microsoft Windows NT,
