Using the LOI
The up and down pointing keys are used to increment up and down when selecting from a
vertical list of menu items. These keys are also used for incrementing values up and down
for new data input.
4.2.3

Lockout

The LOI has a lockout feature that prevents nuisance actuation by someone brushing
against the glass window, raindrops, dirt, insects, etc. This lockout mode is automatically
established when no buttons are pushed for 30 seconds (default). This countdown to
lockout is configurable.
In order to unlock the display, input a Z pattern
Enter key. Next touch the top right key, followed by the bottom left key and the bottom
right key. The LK notation in the upper right corner of the display disappears. Touch Enter
once more to enter into the menu structure. Whenever a key is touched, additional time to
lockout is provided, so that the lockout feature does not become a nuisance. This
additional revert time is one hour (default) and is also user-configurable.
Note
Always clean dust and soil away from the LOI screen each time the LOI is used. Excessive dust can
prevent the LOI from entering lockout. This condition can cause uncommanded operations to occur.
