ETHODS
This reference removes any loss at the connection between the
transmitter of the instrument in source mode and a reference
test jumper plus the loss at one connection plus a second
reference test jumper (both directions). The loss at the second
connection that must be present to measure the fiber system
under test will not be referenced out.
By performing a two-jumper reference, the loss at this one
connection is included in the measured loss.
Three jumper cable reference
This reference removes the losses at Connection 1,
Connection 2, Connection 3, and Connection 4 from the
measurement.
