11 Seat/Back
WARNING
The seat height, seat depth, back angle, seating system, size/position of the rear wheels, size/position of the front casters, as
well as the user condition directly relate to the stability of the wheelchair. Any change to one or any combination of the
nine may cause the wheelchair to decrease in stability. These adjustments MUST be performed by a qualified technician.
After any adjustments, repair or service and before use, make sure all attaching hardware is tightened securely - otherwise
injury or damage may occur.
11.1 Removing/Installing the Back
For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 1 on page 93.
Removing
1.
Remove the mounting screw (A) and locknut (B) that secures the back cane (C) to the back cane bracket (D).
2.
Repeat STEP 1 for remaining back cane.
3.
Remove the back canes out of the back cane brackets.
Install
1.
Place the back cane (C) in the back cane brackets (D).
2.
Secure the back cane in back cane bracket with mounting screw (A) and locknut (B). Tighten securely.
3.
Repeat STEP 1 for remaining back cane.
