9.10 Installing the Optional Swingaway Padded Armrest Socket Assembly
In Figure 5 only the left side of the frame is shown for clarity.
Armrest Socket Facing Rearward
1.
Position the armrest socket (A) on the inside of the wheelchair frame (B) as shown.
2.
From the outside of the frame, thread one mounting screw (C) with washer (D) through the back cane bracket (E), wheel chair frame (B), and
the top armrest socket mounting hole (F).
3.
Install washer (D) and locknut (G).
4.
From the outside of the frame, thread one mounting screw (C) with washer (D) through the wheel chair frame (B), spacer (H) and the bottom
armrest socket mounting hole (I).
5.
Install washer (D) and locknut (G).
6.
Securely tighten both mounting screws.
7.
If necessary, repeat STEPS 1 - 6 to install the remaining armrest socket on the opposite side of the wheelchair frame.
Armrest Socket Facing Forward
1.
Position the armrest socket (A) on the inside of the wheelchair frame (B) as shown.
2.
From the outside of the frame, using two mounting screws (C) four washers (D) and two locknuts (G) secure the armrest socket to the
wheelchair frame. Securely tighten.
3.
If necessary, repeat STEPS 1 - 2to install the remaining armrest socket on the opposite side of the wheelchair frame.
