a supply having the same voltage as the individual supplies, but double the current capacity.

DI Driver System Support of External Power Supplies for NI 9751 Modules
The operating range of the NI 9751 Direct Injector Driver Module can be extended by providing the NI 9751 an
external high-voltage power supply. The DIDS-2103, DIDS-2106, DIDS-2109, and DIDS-2112 all are capable of
communicating with
TDK Lambda Genesys power supplies
via RS-232 to
program various supply
parameters. NI
Powertrain Controls typically recommends a 750 W supply; the optimal voltage and current capabilities of that supply
will depend upon the particular application for DI Driver System. For more information, please contact
NI Powertrain
Controls.
Power Wiring Guidelines
NI recommends powering and grounding each component in the system in a star-wiring configuration, such that
each component is wired individually from a single star-point for both positive and negative terminals of the power
supply buses. In contrast, it is not recommended to power the components in a daisy-chain configuration because it
will cause some modules to experience supply voltage fluctuations.
NI recommends using
crimped ferrules
on all wires entering screw terminal connections.
