CAUTION
Selecting Restore Defaults resets ALL values to their default state, including
the Ventilation mode (SIMV Volume Control). For more information about

THE SELECTION INTERFACE
Most of the quantitative parameters are presented in the form of an oval dial with
black numerals – in the iVent
teal. Turning the Control Knob increases or decreases the selected value as
indicated by the black numerals inside the oval. A dark blue ribbon indicator
moves around the periphery of the oval to show the scale of the selected value.
Recommended ranges are outlined in green, while values outside the
recommended ranges are outlined in red. As a precaution, if a setting you are
inserting exceeds or fails to meet recommended settings for the patient weight, a
bright yellow Caution flag appears, as shown in Figure 34 below.
