A pulse oximeter can be connected to the iVent
operator to continuously monitor patient's oxygenation saturation on the
iVent
201 screen.

WARNING
Use only Nonin manufactured pulse oximeter sensors. Using other
manufacturer's sensors can result in improper oximeter performance.
Explosion Hazard: Do not use the pulse oximeter in an explosive atmosphere
or in the presence of flammable anesthetics or gasses.
Carefully route cables and connections to reduce the possibility of
entanglement and strangulation.
The SpO2 device do not meet defibrillation-proof requirement per IEC 60601-
1.
Do not sterilize the SpO2 device. Refer to the cleaning instructions included in
the sensor instruction.
Do not use the pulse oximeter in the MRI environment.
To connect the pulse oximeter to the iVent
1.
Remove the Pulse Oximeter sensor and the unit connector cable from the kit.
One end of the unit connector is gray and connects to the sensor. The other
end of the unit connector cable has two connectors, a Keyboard connector
and an RS-232 connector (Figure 18).

Connect the Pulse Oximeter sensor to the gray end of the Unit Connector
cable (Figure 19).
