Use the system in the following temperature and humidity ranges for safe and
effective operation.
Outdoor temperature
Indoor temperature
Indoor humidity
(a)
To avoid condensation and water dripping out of the unit. If the temperature or the
humidity is beyond these conditions, safety devices may be put in action and the air
conditioner may not operate.
Above operation range is only valid in case direct expansion indoor units are
connected to the VRV IV system.
Special operation ranges are valid in case of using Hydrobox units or AHU. They can
be found in the installation/operation manual of the dedicated unit. Latest
information can be found in the technical engineering data.
▪
Operation procedure varies according to the combination of outdoor unit and
user interface.
▪
To protect the unit, turn on the main power switch 6 hours before operation.
▪
If the main power supply is turned off during operation, operation will restart
automatically after the power turns back on again.

Do you have a question about the VRV IV and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
Hi, kindly assist me with resolving the problem of the VRV IV series. It pops up from the remote control, and after checking the master and the slaves, both cannot identify their ID number. though the last error was e2. Someone messed up with the wiring, perhaps the communication cable. If we can see what cable goes to the first unit from the master, we have 16 units attached.
The troubleshooting steps for a Daikin VRV IV series system with an E2 error and communication issues between the master and slave units are:
1. Check Q1/Q2 Wiring: Inspect the wiring connections between the master and slave units at the Q1/Q2 terminals. Faulty or incorrect wiring can cause communication failures.
2. Verify Indoor-Outdoor Wiring: Ensure that the wiring between the indoor and outdoor units is correctly connected at the Q1/Q2 and F1/F2 terminals. Incorrect connections can lead to system malfunctions.
3. Check System Test Run: If the system test run was not executed or ended abnormally, perform the test run again to identify potential issues.
4. Confirm Indoor Unit Configuration: Ensure that the number of indoor units connected to the F1/F2 line does not exceed the system's capacity. Too many units can cause communication failures.
5. Inspect System Compatibility: Verify that the indoor units connected are compatible with the system (e.g., R410A, R407C, Hydrobox). Mixing incompatible units may cause communication issues.
6. Examine Outdoor Unit Wiring: Ensure that the interconnecting wiring between outdoor units in the same piping system is connected to the Q1/Q2 (Out Multi) terminals. Incorrect wiring to the F1/F2 terminals can cause system malfunctions.
Following these steps should help diagnose and resolve communication issues in the VRV IV system.
