Testing the wiring for the STO safety function
•
Apply 24 VDC voltage at SF1 and SF2 and energise the motor via input 1 at
X6. -> Motor is energised.
•
Deactivate SF1 -> D1-N delivers error message "E18 STO activated" and
motor is de-energised.
•
Reactivate SF1 and establish connection between DSF+ and DSF- at X6 for
1 second. -> Motor is energised.
•
Deactivate SF2 -> D1-N delivers error message "E18 STO activated" and
motor is de-energised.
Reactivate SF2 and establish connection between DSF+ and DSF- at X6 for
•
1 second. -> Motor is energised.
•
Deactivate SF1 and SF2 at the same time -> D1-N delivers error message
"E06 motor may be disconnected" and motor is de-energised.
•
Reactivate SF1 and SF2 and establish connection between DSF+ and DSF-
at X6 for 1 second. -> Motor is energised.
To test the function of the safety inputs SF1 and SF2 with 24 VDC, the fol-

lowing power supply can be used:

If disabling the safety inputs is not leading to the desired function (motor
disable) or the restart of the device with DSF+ and DSF- fails, please con-
tact the HIWIN support (See section 2.9 on page 14).
