If the pointer exits the green range during travel, it may be for one of the following
reasons:
In some cases, a second attempt may remedy the situation. This may be
due to a particularly unfavourable initial position when starting. Under cer-
tain circumstances, the motor may seize up if stationary for long periods
(particularly with new systems).
• Too low a "Current (SM mode)" current was selected. The motor may need
a higher current to move correctly in this mode due to friction or high load.
Slowly increase the current and see whether there is any improvement in
behaviour. First ensure that the correct permissible maximum current is
set in the motor parameters so that the internal motor protection works
and the motor doesn't overheat in the event of too high a current.
Check the stated motor and encoder parameters in the "configuration cen-
ter". The pole number and all encoder parameters are especially im-
portant.
If desired, the "TD" (Toggle Direction) button can be used to change the system's
positive traversing direction using software without adapting the cabling.
