Check the entire appliance for proper operation before connecting it to
the power supply.
the appliance. See: 'Solving Problems'.
Place the motor base on a firm, flat, stable, and dry surface. Due to vibrations, the
appliance could move around on the working space during operation. Do not place
the appliance near the edge of the working space or near any other objects. Do not
cover or block the openings in the bottom of the motor base to ensure ventilation
and avoid risk of overheating, electric shock, or fire. Thus, do not place the appli-
ance on any clothes or napkins. The power outlet must always be easily assessable
for unplugging the appliance immediately in case of any malfunction or danger.
To avoid overheating, do not operate the motor continuously for more than 15
minutes. Allow the motor to rest for at least 10 minutes before continuing to avoid
overheating. If the filter basket gets stuck or the motor agitates noticeably slow, stop
operation immediately and clean the filter basket (see: 'Care and Cleaning'). Redu-
ce the pressure on the ingredients in the feed chute.
Ensure not to overfill juice jug or pulp container. Empty these vessels in good time.
Do not exceed the maximum filling level of the juice jug marked by the 1000ml line
to avoid overflow. Divide up your food into appropriate portions. If necessary, when
emptying the pulp container, remove fibres and residues from the filter basket also,
to avoid that the blades and the sieve get blocked (see: 'Care and Cleaning').
Do not use any hard or edged objects (e.g. knives, metal scrapers) with the appli-
ance to avoid damage to the surfaces and filter basket. Always remove inedible
parts (e.g. kernels, stalks, shells) before juicing. Do not process extremely hard ingre-
dients (e.g. seeds, dried corn, or nuts) to avoid damage to the blades.

ASSEMBLING THE APPLIANCE

Note:
The appliance will not turn on unless it has been assembled completely and
correctly according to the following instructions.
Place the motor base on a suitable surface near an appropriate wall power outlet
and in a distance of at least 20 cm to the edge of the table or counter and to any
other object.
Fold the two locking arms completely outwards.

TIP:
You may assemble the pulp container turned by 180°. This way, the juice outlet
will be on the right side of the operating elements.
