SOLVING PROBLEMS

If any problems occur during operation, you will find solutions in this section.
Problem
The appliance doesn't turn
on and the ON/OFF button
does not flash.
The motor doesn't start
AND/OR
the filter basket doesn't
rotate.
During the first operati-
on, you notice an unusual
odour.
The motor agitates with
unusual noises
AND/OR
the motor base gets too hot
to touch.
A burnt odour or smoke
escapes from the motor
base.
The filter basket is blocked
repeatedly.
Reason
The appliance is not live. Ensure that the appliance is plugged in a suitable wall
The appliance is not
assembled correctly.
Safety interlocks prevent
the motor from starting.
The filter basket is
blocked.
There is a severe pro-
blem.
This is a normal result of
production.
The motor has been ope-
rating continuously for a
too long period of time.
You are pushing too
hard onto the pusher.
There is a severe pro-
blem.
Fibrous food may clog
the sieve of the filter
basket.
The Solution
power outlet. Ensure that the wall power outlet is live by
connecting a lamp.
Assemble the appliance according to the instructions in
this booklet. See: 'Assembling the Appliance'. Ensure to
close the locking arms correctly.
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply and clean
the filter basket (see: 'Care and Cleaning'). Remove all
hard parts of your food before juicing. Only process food
suited to the juicer (see: 'Tips for Best Results'). Do not
apply too much pressure to the pusher during operation.
Immediately unplug the appliance. Call your customer ser-
vice for support. See: 'Information and Service'.
There is no need for doing anything. The odour will disap-
pear after operating the appliance for several minutes.
Ensure to let the motor operate continuously for no more
than 15 minutes (see LCD display "WorkTime"). Switch
OFF the motor and unplug the appliance. Make a break
of at least 10 minutes.
Switch OFF the motor and unplug the appliance. Make a
break of at least 10 minutes. For juicing, only press down
the pusher lightly. This way you will get more juice also.
Immediately unplug the appliance. Call your customer ser-
vice for support. See: 'Information and Service'.
Switch OFF and unplug the appliance. Then clean the fil-
ter basket (see: 'Care and Cleaning'). Reduce the pressu-
re applied to the pusher during juicing.
