3. USE OF THE APPLIANCE

A. ASSEMBLY:
USING THE MACHINE WITH BLADES
• Place the preparation bowl on the motor spindle, ensuring that the
handle of the bowl is pointing to the left. Rotate the preparation
bowl in an anticlockwise direction until it locks into position on the
motor unit.
• Gently place one of the two blades on the central spindle of the
preparation bowl. Ensure that you align the shape of the blade stem
with the shape of the spindle. The blade must fit perfectly in place at
the bottom of the bowl.
• Put the ingredients into the bowl.
• Place the lid on the bowl, ensuring that the handle still points to the
left. Rotate the lid in an anticlockwise direction until it locks into
position.
• Insert the pushers into the feedtube opening, ensuring that the spindle
of the pusher slides into the safety device of the lid.
USING THE MACHINE WITH A METAL DISC
• Place the preparation bowl on the motor spindle, ensuring that the
handle of the bowl is pointing to the left. Rotate the preparation
bowl in an anticlockwise direction until it locks into position on the
motor unit.
• Place the disc face down onto a level surface. Insert the stem
into the disc from above. The "Lock" indicator situated on the left
side of the stem must be located to the left of the disc support.
• Turn the stem to the right so that the holding devices are covered by
the metal supports. A click indicates that the stem is in place.
• Turn the metal disc over and place the stem on the motor
spindle. It must fit perfectly in place and reach the bottom of
the preparation bowl.
• Place the lid on the bowl, ensuring that the handle still points
to the left. Rotate the lid in an anticlockwise direction until it
locks into position.
• Insert the pushers into the feedtube opening, ensuring that the spindle
of the pusher slides into the safety device of the lid.

B. THE FUNCTIONS:
SEQ
SEQ - pulse operation
This touch-pad control allows you to determine the operation of
the machine yourself. Once the ingredients have been placed in the
bowl, simply press the SEQ touch-pad control repeatedly as many
times as necessary. As soon as you release the touch-pad control, the
motor stops.
0/I - On/Off touch-pad controls
The 0 and I touch-pad controls allow you to start and stop the motor.
Simply press the I touch-pad control after having placed
the ingredients in the bowl or in the feedtube opening, and the 0
touch-pad control to stop the motor.
N.B. The machine does not start operating until the pusher is
correctly inserted. It stops instantaneously as soon as the pusher
is removed.
Knead touch-pad control
The KNEAD touch-pad control is used in conjunction with the I or SEQ
touch-pad controls. This gives the machine a specially devised speed
for kneading dough. Press the KNEAD touch-pad control.
An indicator lamp lights up. Now press the I or SEQ touch-pad controls
as many times as necessary to knead the dough.
C. HELPFUL HINTS:
Chopping or producing a purée
• Place the bowl on the motor spindle and rotate it in an anticlockwise
direction.
• Insert the chopping blade, cut the food into pieces and put it into the
bowl. Place the lid on the bowl and rotate it in an anticlockwise
direction. Insert the pusher.
• Press and release the SEQ touch-pad control several times,
ensuring that the food drops to the bottom of the bowl each
time. If necessary, use the spatula to scrape off the sides of the bowl.
Thanks to this method, the food will be finely chopped. Check the
texture frequently so as not to chop it too finely.
• To purée food: chop the food coarsely, then press the I touch-pad
control and wait until the desired texture is reached. (NOTE: this
method is not suitable for mashing potatoes)
Hint: Cut the food approximately into 3-cm pieces. The bigger the
chopped up food, the longer the processing time.
IMPORTANT:
• Ensure that the quantities used do not exceed the quantities
recommended in this booklet.
• Always wait until the blade has stopped turning before removing the
lid.
