This error can appear if the COM port where the stacker is connected to
the computer has changed.
The Multimode Communication Services polls COM ports as part of its
monitoring tasks. If the COM port where the stacker is connected gets
polled when the stacker is communicating with the software, it can
cause an error condition in the software. To prevent this error
condition, open the communication server options and disable polling
the COM port where the stacker is connected. See
