Troubleshooting

Error Messages

The following error messages can appear in the Log View frame in the
StakMax Software window.

Description
Homing routine was
not able to find a
state change on the
home flag,
sensor/flag problem
likely source.
Timer resource was
not available,
apparently not used
in code.
Stall occurred during
motion, encoder and
step counts exceeded
maximum threshold.
X Axis motion did not
cause state change
on edge detect switch
—poorly gripped
plate, plate not
present.
Can't move axis if it
hasn't been homed.
Can't move axis if it's
already in motion.
Generic EPROM error. Call Molecular Devices
Carriage drop off
exceeds maximum
travel of X Axis.

Solution
Press the
Power/Reset button.
Call Molecular Devices

Check for object
blocking movement
and then re-align.
Check to make sure
plate is properly
gripped and then re-
align. If error
persists, call
