PARTS TO BE INSTALLED

1. Positive post screw toward the side of vehicle
2. Negative post screw toward the top of vehicle
10. Secure battery in place with rubber strap.
NOTICE Make sure not to squeeze battery ca-
bles between vehicle components.
11. Connect RED (+) cable to positive battery
post.
WARNING
Always connect RED (+) cable first and then
BLACK (–) cable.
12. Connect BLACK (–) cable to negative battery
post.
13. Apply
DIELECTRIC GREASE (P/N 293 550 004)
battery posts.
14. Tighten battery post screws.
BATTERY POST SCREW
4 N•m (35 lbf•in)
15. Close RED rubber boot cover.

TYPICAL
16. Reinstall the LH rear panel.
16.1 Plug turn signal connectors.
16.2 Secure panel with previously removed
screws and plastic rivets.

NOTICE Do not overtighten screws. Any de-
formation on the panel around the screw head
is an indication that it is too tight. Be careful
not to damage the panels.

Front Storage Compartment

1. Open front storage compartment cover.
2. Remove plastic rivets securing front panels.

3. Remove and discard bolts holding the bottom
and the top sections of sub-crate.

1. Lower retaining bolt
2. Upper retaining bolts
4. Cut locking ties securing horn and AAPTS har-
ness to frame.
5. Free the front storage compartment cover ca-
ble.
