Java Tools with the Solaris 8 Preinstalled Software:
Java 2 Software Development Kit 1.2 is a later version of Java Development Kit,
which includes Java Virtual Machine. For more information, refer to the web site

ShowMe TV
is a powerful audio/video communications tool that delivers up-to-
the-minute news, special reports, or internal communications directly to the system.
ShowMe TV is a television system for local- and wide-area networks that can be
used to view and broadcast live or prerecorded video programs on the network, or
to play back video or audio files (QuickTime, AVI, and MPEG). It is also a tool for
broadcasting and viewing training courses, lectures, corporate messages, and for
monitoring important news events.
The version number of ShowMe TV you will see differs, depending on which
version of the Solaris software you chose at initial power on. For a summary of the
