On-Hook Dialing
You can enter a number before you lift the handset from the cradle using on-hook dialing (also called
predialing).
The predialed number might include one or more star code options. For example, if you enter
*6714089991234 , the phone interprets each recognized star code as it parses the given number and
applies them to the call. In this case, the phone blocks the outgoing caller ID and dials +1 (408) 999-1234.
Procedure
1. Enter the number using the dialpad.
2. Press the Dial soft key.
This connects the call using the default voice service.
Make a Call With a Speed Dial Key
You can make calls to a specific number using the speed dial feature key.
Procedure
» Press and release the assigned speed dial feature key.
Place a Call from the Phone Book
You can call contacts directly from the phone book.
Procedure
1. Go to Contacts > Phone Book.
2. Select a contact.
3. Press the Call soft key.
Place an Anonymous Call
You can place outgoing calls without showing your own ID to the person you're calling.
Enable the anonymous call feature before placing a call.
Procedure
1. Press Home
.
2. Go to Preferences > Anonymous Call.
3. Press the Enable soft key.
4. Press Home
to exit Preferences and confirm your selection.
5. Place a call.
Edit a Contact Number Before Dialing
You can edit a contact's number before dialing.
This enables you to input star codes or other digit maps before placing the call.
Procedure
1. Go to Contacts > Phone Book.
2. Select a contact.
3. Press the Edit Dial soft key.
