10. Stowing and Transporting
7. Connect the trailer road lights to the towing
vehicle and test that the functions work.
8. Retract the jockey wheel and place it in the
stowed position (see Figure 10.4).

9. Check the covers are secure and no debris
or work tools are in the platform.
10. Check both booms are stowed correctly.
DANGER
Death or Serious Injury can result from
losing control of a trailer when towing.
Never tow above the rated speed marked on
the draw bar.
Never tow the unit with an under rated
vehicle. Always check manufacturers
vehicle load specifications.

Trailering

The MHP13/35 / MHP15/44 V3 may be moved on a
trans port ve hi cle. De pend ing on the par tic u lar sit u -
a tion, the MHP13/35 / MHP15/44 V3 may be lifted,
or hoisted onto a ve hi cle such as a truck or trailer.
The equip ment used to load, un load, and trans port
the MHP13/35 / MHP15/44 V3 must have ad e -
quate ca pac ity. Re fer to Chap ter 3 to de ter mine the
ap prox i mate weight of the MHP13/35 / MHP15/44
V3.
The user as sumes all re spon si bil ity for mak ing
sure the equip ment used is ca pa ble of sup port ing
the weight of the MHP13/35 / MHP15/44 V3.

Lifting With a Forklift

Al though Snor kel does not rec om mend the pro ce -
dure, the MHP13/35 / MHP15/44 V3 can be lifted
with a fork lift, how ever great care must be ex er -
cised if un der tak ing this operation.

the weight of the MHP13/35 / MHP15/44 V3 and
that all man u fac turer's in struc tions and warn ings,
reg u la tions and safety rules of their em ployer
and/or any lo cal/na tional/fedral laws are fol lowed.
The potential for an accident increases when
the MHP13/35 / MHP15/44 V3 is lifted using
i m p r o p e r e q u i p m e n t a n d / o r l i f t i n g
techniques. Death or serious injury can
result from such accidents. Use proper
equipment and lifting techniques when
lifting the MHP13/35 / MHP15/44 V3.
Know the weight of the MHP13/35 / MHP15/44 V3
and the ca pac ity of the fork lift be fore com menc ing
this op er a tion.
Use the fol low ing guide lines:
1. Properly stow the MHP.
2. Remove all personnel, tools, materials, or
other loose objects from the platform.
3. Carefully insert the forklift forks under the
chassis from the side ensuring that the
machine is balanced.
4. Ensure that the forklift forks are not in a
position to damage any part of the machine
before raising the MHP13/35 / MHP15/44 V3.
5. Do not raise the MHP13/35 / MHP15/44 V3
higher than necessary to transport it. Drive
the forklift slowly and carefully when
transporting the MHP13/35 / MHP15/44 V3.
Machine damage can occur if the forklift
operation is not carried out with extreeme
care by an experienced operator.

Hoisting (Option)

Use a four (4) point sling ar range ment at tached to
the lift ing points in the sta bi liser feet when hoist ing
the MHP13/35 / MHP15/44 V3.
Machine damage can occur if the sling is
attached to any point other than the
designated lift points.
