Temperature Monitoring

Because reliable long-term operation of the ZT 5504 depends on maintaining proper
temperature, Intel strongly recommends verifying the operating temperature of the processor
module and processor core in the final system configuration.
The Pentium III processor incorporates an on-die thermal diode that can be used to monitor the
processor's die temperature. The ZT 5504 includes an AMD 1026 Hardware Monitor to monitor
the die temperature of the processor for thermal management purposes.
When checking airflow conditions, let the Processor Core Temperature Test dwell for at least
30 minutes and verify that the core temperature does not exceed 65°C. The processor "core"
temperature must never exceed 100°C under any condition of ambient temperature or usage.
