Boot Administrative Workstation From Alternate Disk

OVERVIEW
This procedure should be used to replace a defective disk drive on the AW. On the

t 1120, Netra 20 and Netra 240 both the primary disk and the secondary disk
are internal drives. It is assumed that the secondary disk has been kept in sync with
the primary drive by performing a backup to it recently. Table 4.5-1 lists the device
IDs for the AW disk drives.

PROCEDURE
1.
Replace a Defective Disk (see Subprocedure 4.5.1 for Netra t 1120).
2.
Replace a Defective Secondary Disk (see Subprocedure 4.5.2 for the Netra 20).
3.
Replace a Defective Primary Disk (see Subprocedure 4.5.3 for the Netra 20).
4.
Replace a Defective Primary Disk (see Subprocedure 4.5.4 for the Netra 240).
5.
Replace a Defective Secondary Disk (see Subprocedure 4.5.5 for the Netra 240).
6.
Partition and Propagate the System to the Non-Active Disk (see Subprocedure
4.5.6).
