File Dropouts

If your VBO file does contain GPS dropouts you will first need to repair these by entering the missing data.
Click on OK in the information box (shown above), and you will see the following display, indicating in this
case that you have 5 dropouts that need to be repaired.
On the left hand side you can see a straight line, indicating the length of the dropout with a green marker
showing the last good GPS sample, and a red marker showing the next good sample. On the right hand side
you can see the section of the route where this dropout occurs.
Click on the green or red marker and
holding the left mouse key down, move
the line such that the dropout appears
correctly on your route as shown to the
right.
Once you have corrected a point, click on the tick box and you will automatically be moved onto the next
point.
To review each dropout, click on the left or right arrows to move back or forward to the next dropout. You
can also check to ensure that you have fixed every dropout, by noting whether there is a tick in the box for
each point.
