Registration

So that Racelogic can continue to provide you with notification of the latest software releases, firmware upgrades and to
offer technical support, please register your VBOX Touch.
Register your unit here.

Power

The VBOX Touch unit is either powered by the supplied RLCAB010LE cable (RLVBTOUCH) which is inserted in to a
vehicle's 12 V cigar power socket, or by the RLCAB014LE cable (RLVBTOUCH-M) which is unterminated for making a
bare wire connection to a power supply. Both cables terminate in a 2-way connector which mates with the
Power
socket
on VBOX Touch.
On boot up, the VBOX Touch will display a splash screen and automatically look for satellites and media.

  • Page 5 GPS Coldstart If VBOX Touch is struggling to acquire satellite lock, a GPS coldstart may be required. This may be necessary when the unit hasn’t been used for a number of days or has dramatically moved location since its last use.
  • Page 6 ‘SEARCHING FOR SATELLITES’ until satellite lock has been acquired. It will take approximately 25 – 30 seconds for the unit to reacquire satellite lock. Logging VBOX Touch logs data via an SD card inserted in to the Side of the Unit. Dependent on the Logging Strategy selected within the General Settings area, the unit will either log continuously or when movement is detected (default).
  • Page 7 SD Card Format VBOX Touch is supplied with an 8 GB SDHC card in a FAT32 file format, which is the only file format supported. If you are looking to purchase a new SD card, it is recommended that any card used has a write speed of above 7 MB/s (4 MB/s absolute minimum) and a speed class of 10 (4 absolute minimum).
  • Page 8 • Event 1 time: This is the digital input oversample timer used to interpolate the trigger event time between captured samples. • Correction age (VBOX Touch RTK only): RTK signal age in seconds, if there is a loss in connection, the value resets at 60 s.
