IGNITION SWITCH
The ignition switch controls the
ignition system and the starter motor.
IGNITION Turning the ignition switch key to the
SWITCH
START position operates the starter

motor. The key automatically returns
to the ON position when released
from the START position.
The engine will not start unless the
gearshift lever is in the N (neutral)
position (p. 68) and the emergency
