TRL (Trolling) CONTROL SWITCH
The TRL (Trolling) control switch is
a rocker switch with UP and DN
(down) positions to adjust the trolling
speed up or down in 50 rpm
increments within the range of 650 to
900 rpm.
If you press and hold the TRL control
switch while cruising with the throttle
closed, the mode changes to trolling
mode (p. 52).

TRIM TAB
The trim tab compensates for ''torque
steer,'' which is a reaction of the
outboard motor to propeller rotation.
If uncompensated, torque steer would
make the outboard motor tend to turn
to one side.
When the trim tab is correctly
adjusted (p. 61), steering effort is
equal in both directions.
