3-5 HYDRAULIC LIFT ASSEMBLY - RIGID MODELS

TO TAKE PREVENTATIVE MEASURES
AGAINST ACCIDENTAL LOWERING
CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS PERSONAL
INJURY OR DEATH.
3-5.1
Unscrew yoke from master cylinder piston
rod, except on 13 shank machines. Install
stroke control cover and stroke control on
cylinder piston rod. Replace cylinder yoke,
adjust extended length to 28-1/4" from hole
center to hole center by threading yoke on
piston rod proper distance. Tighten set screw
to lock yoke in place (See Figure 3-5).

On 13 shank units, adjust extended cylin-
der length to 28-1/4" from center of pin
holes. Tighten set screw to lock yoke in
place. Cylinder stops are used on the 13
shank Soil Master II.

Install cylinders with ports up on frame.
Connect yoke to gauge wheel arm using cyl-
inder lockouts, extended cylinder pin, and
hair pin cotters. Connect anchor end to main
frame with extended cylinder pin and hair pin
cotters (See Figures 3-3 and 3-4).

On 13 shank units, lock out for 2" rod must
be on larger cylinder (master).

Install hydraulic lines as shown in Table
3-1 and Figure 3-5. Use 90
der ports.
