Figure1. Stent Model
The Stent is loaded into an introducer system and upon
deployment the stent imparts an outward radial force on the
luminal surface of the colorectum to establish patency. There
are two types of introducer; TTS and OTW. (See figure 2, 3)
Niti-S Full Covered Enteral Colonic Stents used in benign
stricture can be removed; (see Warnings).
Full Covered Enteral Colonic stents can be repositioned after
deployment (see Warnings).

Figure 3.OTW Type Introducer System
TTS means Through The endoScope, and OTW means Over The
Wire. The TTS type may be utilised for endoscopic delivery as
the profile of the introducer system is compatible with a minimum
3.7mm working channel. The OTW type is not compatible with
the endoscope due to the shorter length of the introducer system.
TTS type is recommended
- Where the target stricture region is narrow
- Where long-distance deploying is required
- Where exact and precise deployment is required
OTW is recommended
- Where Ø 18, 20, 24, 26, 28mm stent is required
- Where fluoroscope is used
2. Principle of Operation
 For OTW Type; Distal release & TTS Type Introducer systems,
The outer sheath is pulled back by immobilizing the hub in one
hand, grasping the Y-connector with the other hand, and gently
sliding the Y-connector along the pusher (2
towards the hub. Retraction of the outer sheath releases the
stent.
