2.0 Setup - Series 90!90HV Pal:e 5
FUSE REPLACEMENT
There are two 0.5-amp fuses in the Series 90; both are in the expansion cabinet. See Figure 3.
One fuse is internal and is mounted on the power supply board. On the standard Series 90 the
second fuse is an in-line fuse between the lamp power connector on the rear panel and the power
supply. On the Series 90HV the second fuse is on the rear panel and is marked Lamp Fuse.
Series 90 Only
1. To gain access to the power supply remove the back panel of the expansion cabinet,
and the four screws on the bottom of the cabinet nearest the sides.
2. Slide the top cover forward until it just clears the front of the unit. Do not over-
extend the cover, since the front panel switch is wired to the main chassis.
3. Reach up and disconnect the switch harness, then fully remove the cover.
4. Locate the power supply and fuses on the front of the card cage assembly. Use
replacement fuses with the same rating as the ones installed. (Replacing the fuse
with a higher rated fuse can cause permanent damage to the power supply, scanner
control boards, and scanner boards.)
