3.2 Checking Speed Sensor

Make sure the speed sensor configured as follows:
1. Remove left driveshield (A). For instructions, refer to the
header operator's manual or technical manual.
2. Check the speed sensor as follows:
• Figure
3.14, page 12 shows a speed sensor assembly from
model year 2018 and later.
– If sensor (A) is installed in top hole (B), the sensor is
positioned correctly. Proceed to

– If sensor (A) is installed in bottom hole (C) as shown,
reposition the sensor according to the instructions in
3.2.1 Repositioning Conditioner Drive Speed Sensor –
Model Year 2018 and Later, page
• Figure
3.15, page 12 shows a speed sensor assembly from
model year 2017 (if the sensor was NOT updated to the
sensor assembly used on model year 2018 and later).
– If sensor (A) is aligned with the top inside edge (B) of a
long hole, the sensor is positioned correctly. Proceed to

– If sensor (A) is aligned with a small hole (C), reposition
the sensor according to instructions in
