7. OPERATION
7.1 Flushing the Piping Assembly
If there may be scale or sludge in a pipe of newly installed piping etc., flush the inside of pipe before
installing the sensor unit.
7.2 Confirming the Sensor Unit for Correct Installation
For safety reasons, please check the connection bolt is fastened tightly. Also check the condition of the
gasket and whether the flow direction of the meter is correctly set.
7.3 Leak check
Fill the sensor tube with measurement fluid and check there is no leakage.
7.4 Supplying the Power
Check the wire connection, close the front cover and turn ON the power.
Approximately 0 seconds after power is ON, please check the transmitter LED status. If sensor unit and
transmitter are in normal state, the red LED will be turned off and green LED will be turned on.
《 WARNING》
7.5 Measurement Line Startup
Start up measurement by gradual activation of pump or opening of valve.
7.6 Warm-up
To stabilize the measurement status of device, carry out warm-up operation for about 0 minutes.
7.7 Zeroing Procedure
After measurement status is stabilized, close the downstream valve to completely stop the measurement
fluid and carry out Zeroing. When zeroing is under progress, the sensor unit shall be fully filled with the
measurement fluid with ±0℃ of operating temperature. During this zeroing process, the green LED will
blink for approximately 0 seconds.
〈CAUTION〉
Zeroing process will not be completed in following cases. Please check
the status and conduct zeroing once again.
・Green LED does not blink even after conducting zeroing.
・Green LED blinks only for a few seconds and turns off.
・Red LED turns on or blinks after conducting zeroing.
There are three zeroing methods as shown below.
① To perform zeroing by button on the transmitter.
Zeroing can be performed by keep pressing the zeroing
button on the front face of the transmitter until the green
LED blinks fast. The green LED will blink fast for one
second and start blinking in one second intervals,
indicating that zeroing is performed.
You may press the button using tools such as a small
phillips screwdriver
(diameter: .mm or less, length: mm or longer).
② To perform zeroing by status input.
If zeroing is appointed in the status input function, zeroing
can be performed by input to the status input terminal.
③ To perform zeroing by communication interface.
HART or Modbus communication allows command sent to
the transmitter to perform zeroing.
Please close the front cover of the transmitter before
turning on the power.
