CAUTION:
1. Since the casing of sensor unit is not a pressure vessel, the withstanding pressure rating
of the casing is not indicated. To secure safety, a Rc1/4 boss shown in Fig. 4.1 is equipped
to the unit, therefore it is in your discretion to prepare a rupture disc or a pressure switch
to be set on the unit. The rupture disc burst pressure and pressure switch set pressure
is 7MPa(G). Please further note that removing the Rc1/4 plug while the boss pointing
downward may result in leakage of inert argon gas. For such case, refill the casing with
inert gas such as argon gas. For further details of treatment, consult OVAL sales office or
nearest representative.
2. Density and volumetric measurement are not available.

3.1.3 Pressure Losses

◎How to determine pressure loss (liquids only)
() Find the pressure loss coefficient C from the flow rate (kg/h) and viscosity of parameter (mPa・s). Dividing this
value C by specific gravity d ( for water) gives the pressure loss, thus equation will be as follows:
() For high-viscosity liquids not shown in the figure, calculate the pressure loss by using the following equation:

d : Specific gravity of high-viscosity liquid ( for water)
