Active and inactive escape route securing system

The escape route securing system can be activated or deactivated.

Active escape route securing system

If the escape route securing system is active, it basically behaves like other Hi-O
Technology™ locking components.

Inactive escape route securing system

If the escape route securing system is inactive, the escape route locking system
remains unlocked and the door monitoring is switched off. If the release com-
mands are reset, the escape route securing system is unlocked when inactive.
Other Hi-O Technology™ locking systems continue to react to unlock and tempo-
rary release commands according to their respective configuration.

Alarm

Acoustic alarm

There are alarm statuses where an audible signal is activated, such as a pre-alarm.
The acoustic alarm takes place for a configured time span and is automatically
switched off again, or can be switched off with a control command. If another
alarm should occur, the acoustic alarm is restarted.

Pre-alarm and alarm

The pre-alarm is triggered if the open door is not closed and locked within a
configured time span after the temporary release. The pre-alarm is signalled via
the LEDs of the ePED
®
The pre-alarm is switched off automatically if the door is closed and locked within
the pre-alarm time.
If the door is not closed and locked within the pre-alarm time, a tamper alarm is
triggered.
