2.2.11 Connecting the SIP Loudspeaker Amplifier (AC-Powered)
2.2.11.1 Using the Amplified Outputs
High Power Mode
The following figure illustrate how to connect the SIP Loudspeaker Amplifier (AC-Powered) and use
(One Speaker)
the amplified outputs in high power mode to one speaker or horn.

Note: You can use an
802.3at compliance
switch instead of an
802.3at power injector
and hub.

*Note: This AC connection needs to
be installed by a certified electrician.
*Note: The positive (+) wire coming from the speaker
may be red or white. The negative (-) wire is black.
*Note: 16 gauge (AWG) wiring is recommended.
If the speaker will be routed outside, then CyberData
suggests using CL2 or CL3 certified wiring.
Note: The IP66 Analog Horn (011471) comes with a
3.28 foot cable, which can be connected directly to the
amplifier. If the wiring is greater than 3.28 feet, then it
is suggested to use solder and heat shrink tubing to
fasten the additional wires. Twist wire nuts can be
used as an alternative if it is protected sufficiently.
