For DTE to DTE communications, you can use a RJ-45 to DB-9 crossover adapter with a
standard RJ-45 cable to achieve the required null modem configuration.
This port does not support network connections.

NET MGT Ports

The NET MGT port, located on the rear panel, provides an optional Ethernet connection from
Oracle ILOM to the SP. The NET MGT port uses an RJ-45 cable for a 10/100/1000 BASE-T
connection.
Each SMOD has a NET MGT RJ-45 port located on the back panel. It provides an optional
Ethernet connection to the Oracle ILOM SP. The NET MGT port on SMOD1 is only active in
dual 4-socket systems.
The NET MGT port is configured by default to use Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
(DHCP). If your network does not use a DHCP server, this port is not available until you
configure network settings through the SER MGT port.
