Controller settings

7.6.1

Open-loop/closed-loop control

Under "Parameters" > "Open-loop/closed-loop control", you specify the general controller
settings and the settings for speed and current controllers.
General controller settings
You can optimally tune speed and current controllers if you specify the properties of the load
in the machine due to mechanical systems and the electrical properties of the motor
connection.
Enter the general controller settings under "Parameters" > "Control/closed-loop control" >
"Controller settings".
● Moment of inertia of the load, p1398
● Motor cable line resistance, p0352
● Motor cable / Motor series inductance, p0353
Additional important settings
The speed and current controllers can be determined in the best possible way if, in addition
to the properties of the electric motor, you also specify the properties of the gearbox and the
load mechanics of your machine as well as the properties of the motor.
● Important electrical properties of the drive:
– Motor terminal resistance (internal resistance), p0372
– Motor terminal inductance q component (winding inductance q), p0376
– Motor terminal inductance d component (winding inductance d), p0377
● Important properties of the load in the machine due to mechanical systems
