Before t e s t r u n , c h e c k t h e following. I f t h e
test r u n i s performed a f t e r l o n g storage, s e e
Par. 11 , "INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE".
• Connection t o machines o r devices, w i r i n g ,
fuse connection, a n d grounding a r e correct.
• Bolts and nuts are tightened.
• F o r motors with shaft seals, t h e seals are not
damaged and motor is properly lubricated.
9 1 2 Servopack
• Setting switches are c o r r e c t l y s e t to s a t i s f y
the specifications for t h e applicable S E R V O -
MOTOR and optical encoder.

nected t o terminals o r inserted i n t o t h e c o n -
nectors.
• T h e power supply is turned OFF i f servo outputs
alarm.
• Voltage supplied t o SERVOPACK is 200 t o 230V
_ 4 1 1 5 % o r 100 t o 115 V !15%.
• T h e speed reference should b e 0 V ( s p e e d
reference circuit is short-circuited.)
9 . 2 T E S T RUN PROCEDURES
9.2. 1 Preparation for Operation
D u r i n g t e s t r u n , l o a d s s h o u l d n o t b e a p p l i e d t o
the SERVOMOTOR. I f i t i s necessary t o start with
the d r i v e n machine connected t o t h e m o t o r,
confirm t h a t t h e d r i v e n system has been r e a d y
for emergency stop a t any time.
• Power ON
After checking itmes in Par. 9 . 1 , t u r n O N the
power supply. W h e n the p o w e r ON s e q u e n c e
is correct, according to Par. 6 . 1 , the power is
turned ON b y depressing the POWER pushbutton
for approximately 1 second.
When the power is correctly supplied, 7 -segment
LED n a n d LED in MCCB light.
• When a Servo ON s i g n a l is i n p u t ( c o r r e c t is
on), the power c i r c u i t in t h e S E R V O PA C K
operates and the m o t o r is r e a d y t o r u n .
9 2 2 Operation
The operation i s possible o n l y while S e r v o O N
signal is O N .
• Increase the speed reference voltage gradually
from 0 V, t h e n t h e mot or w i l l r o t a t e a t a
speed proportional t o the reference voltage.
• When t h e reference voltage i s positive, t h e
motor rotates forward(counterclockwise viewed
from drive end-output shaft) ( F i g . 9 . 1 ) .

9 2 3 Inspection during Test Run
The following items should be checked for during
the test run.
Unusual vibration
• Abnormal noise
• Excessive temperature rise
I f any abnormality i s found, t a k e corrective
actions according to P a r . 12. A t a test opera-
tion, t h e load and machine may n o t fit well a t
