- A PCI card operable only at 5 VDC will not work when inserted into a
3.3 VDC PCI slot but will work in a 5 VDC PCI slot.
- A universal PCI card is operable at both 3.3 VDC and 5 VDC, and can
be used in all PCI slots.
- short: Means a short-sized PCI card.
- long: Means a long-sized PCI card. Note that a short-sized PCI
card can also be mounted in a long-sized PCI card slot.

All PCI slots support a bus width of 64 bits. All PCI slots support either
64-bit or 32-bit PCI cards.
This is the clock frequency of the relevant slot. If a PCI card operable at
both 33 MHz and 66 MHz is inserted into a PCI slot at 33/66 MHz, the
PCI card operates on a 66 MHz clock.
This is the input voltage of the PCI bus of the relevant PCI slot.
- A PCI card operable only at 3.3 VDC will not work when inserted into
a 5 VDC PCI slot but will work in a 3.3 VDC PCI slot.
