Intrinsically safe field circuits are connected to the blue terminals 1 to 8, which in keeping with
DIN EN 60079-14 by means of connecting cables can be passed into the potentially explosive area.
You can connect one of the following sensors (see illustration):
•
Terminal 1 and 4: sensor according to EN 60947-5-6 (NAMUR)
•
Terminal 2 and 5: magnetic encoder
•
Terminals 3, 6, 7: 3-wire sensor (current or voltage signal)

For sensors that do not have any corresponding internal resistors, the resistors can be added
externally (as close to the sensor as possible):
•
A parallel resistor for lead breakage monitoring (not possible for NPN sensors and push-pull power
amplifiers)
•
One series resistor for lead breakage monitoring
